SCIENCE MISSION DIRECTORATE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS & RESOURCE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS IN PUBLICATIONS

Reporting Requirements

Two brief reports are required from Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Principal Investigators (PIs) over the course of the allocation period:

  1. An Entry Quad chart, due when you submit a computing time request, gives general information about your research effort. Submitted material will be placed on a publicly accessible website.
  2. A Results Quad Chart, due when you submit a modification request, highlights research completed to date using your HEC allocation. Submitted material will be placed on a publicly accessible website.

Notes

  • Quad Chart creation capability is not available in HEC Request Management System (RMS) 1.0. The capability will be available in a future version of RMS, at which time Quad Charts will again be a requirement.
  • Send any questions about your HEC allocation or resource issues via email to support@hec.nasa.gov.

Resource Acknowledgments in Publications

When you publish your research based on use of HEC resources, please acknowledge these NASA-provided resources with language similar to the examples provided below.

NAS-only HEC resources used:

Resources supporting this work were provided by the NASA High-End Computing (HEC) Program through the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division at Ames Research Center.

NCCS-only HEC resources used:

Resources supporting this work were provided by the NASA High-End Computing (HEC) Program through the NASA Center for Climate Simulation (NCCS) at Goddard Space Flight Center.

Both NAS and NCCS HEC resources used:

Resources supporting this work were provided by the NASA High-End Computing (HEC) Program through the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division at Ames Research Center and the NASA Center for Climate Simulation (NCCS) at Goddard Space Flight Center.
